The Windstream’s Finance Leadership Program provides an accelerated learning opportunity to candidates demonstrating advanced accounting, finance, business analytics, and leadership skills for career development and possible fast-track placement into supervisory and management positions. This program consists of a series of work “tours” where participants are given the opportunity to experience as many as three of Windstream’s many corporate accounting and finance workgroups over the course of their first three years with the company. Rotations among the various work groups will provide participants with the accounting, finance, and operations experiences necessary to one day lead one of Windstream’s large work groups. Participants will follow a structured training plan through their tenure in the program with focus on leadership development, presentation, and project management.
Upon starting at Windstream, each program member will be assigned a member of management as a mentor and a member of the program as a coach. Additionally, participants will gain exposure to Windstream’s corporate senior management team through a series of informative sessions. Additionally, Windstream encourages and assists employees towards professional certifications, including offering Becker CPA review classes and educational assistant for those pursuing advanced accounting and business degrees.
